The trouble is we can't rest him even for 5 minutes . Even a half decent wide man would have stretched them at the end.
Pleased with the win but Fulham are like a Championship manager team of odds and Sods. No quality at all.

Agree I am baffled we left ourselves so short of pace we must add someone in Jan.

thank god it was only fulham, straight from our first goal pickford put us under pressure twice in 5 minutes,
defence are so slow and has to be priority in january

You can see what Carlo was doing with the subs - James and Richy looking knackered and needed to shore up defensively. I think Davies worked hard but I'm sure Carlo thought Siggy was the only option on the bench likely to give us an out going forwards so he had to bring him on if he brings two attackers off. (Tosun btw is only there in case DCL gets injured in the game). However the problem is that Carlo thinks he is bringing on Siggy from 2 years ago - that would have been an awesome sub to bring on. Siggy isn't a shred of the player he was 2 years ago so its like bringing no one on and volunteering to go down to 10 men. Now wonder it was still backs against the wall despite Davies attempts to compact the midfield.
I can't see that he had a choice though.

Sigurdsson comes on when the job is to keep possession. At least 5 times he lost it. Each time he doesnt try to win it back. Hes slow ro react and his dead balls are pathetic. Gordon should be on the bench not the glacier

a win is a win. i don't intend to spend the rest of my sunday picking holes in the second half performance.

Looked good attacking wise first half but very open defensively. Second half Carlo must have told Digne and Iwobi to stay back. Surrendered possession to them and nearly paid the price.
Fitness levels are a concern. We look very laboured. I know we had people away on internationals but we had fitness issues before that.
Positives.
Iwobi played well
DCL looked a real target man
No Pickford mistakes
Richy looking fuming when he was taken off

That’s the problem, you’ve just named the extent of our squad’s source of creativity.

The other problem we have is defensively we are s*#t and always look like conceding.

the only positive with Jan transfer window looming is our problems are obvious.

Its not really baffling, as I said yesterday Everton are sorely bereft of quality only about 5/6 players would even make a top 6 side. That's the stark reality, Everton fans need to wake up a bit. Aside from the nicely worked goals they they struggled for large parts against a Fulham team that are pretty doomed.

The stress levels of being an evertonian must be through the roof! I feel exhausted after nearly every game.

Unfortunately when you defense is unreliable you can't play to hold on to any lead, even a two goal one. No way to do it but keep going and trying to score for 90 minutes. Our best defense is having teams afraid of us scoring up their end.

I agree there but for me a wide player not a striker. I know Walcott probably asked out but we should have said no.

1:we need a RB

2ickford is still a clown.

3:mina is not good enough.

4: hamez is more effective playing in the middle.

Couldn’t pass to an Everton player 2nd half. Davies helped when he came one. He’s actually good at blocking and being a nuisance I think.

Yeah Davies got about the pitch well when he came on. Tbf to Iwobi there was nobody to pass to 2nd lol

And perhaps to note that Gordon (or Kean) would have been the better sub for Richy had he even been on the bench.
