I was listening to 5Live last night and before the RS match they said there had been reports of Lille fans outside Goodison Park taking pictures earlier that day. Then the commentator said "I don't understand? What's the fascination????".

What a nob head. Clearly does not know his history.

I went to Lille on the Eurostar a few years ago just to watch the St Ettienne match then come home. Lille had just started getting better and making an impact in the French Ligue, so no wonder they went to Goodison Park, as believe it or not, Everton are a famous team with a big history, and the 'fascination' is seeing where we play, our fortress of a stadium, and also the proximity to the RS across Stanley Park.

I hate 5Live sometimes.

If it was a Liverpool broadcast, that might have been a bit of bias (okay, more than a bit of bias) from the reds commentator. I mean, do they care about whether or not Everton supporters are listening to a reds pre-match show? Probably not, and they are right to do so as Everton supporters are not their intended audience. I'm sorry to have to say that, but its unfortunately the case and, even worse, its true.

what a great performance by Fulham that was.

it was 4-1 on aggregate, then they had some Lazarus type comeback and pulled off the result of the season, it was amazing.

I haven't seen the draw, I think the [Poor language removed] got Benfica, looks over for them now, too bad.

Team of the season for me. Small ground, small squad, well traveled manager and lots of heart (and bottle). This Juve game was their 48th of the season. Remarkable.
