Without reading any other replies to this, I actually think choosing the idea of Everton folding vs the current reality is an incredibly spoilt view, but with no real basis to it.

The idea seems to be that Everton should fold instead of being relegated. That hasn't even happened yet. Yes we could go into administration etc, but what if we don't? And what if we stay up? Why is it that we have to either be title challengers or not exist? Most of the history hasn't been that successful apart from a few spells. It's not a divine right

This guise that is Everton now isn't the Everton I was introduced to and it likely never will be.

What I would give for a completely different version of Everton and sadly it appears the only way that happens is starting again.

From a purely selfish point of view I voted fold. My life would be more enjoyable without having Everton ruin it week after week. I wouldn't follow a phoenix club though. The original is the one I'm stuck with. I'd enjoy watching football as a neutral.

We won't fold though. Well limp on like Sheffield Wednesday

Honestly I don't know what I'd do

I don't think I'd support a Phoenix club because it wouldn't be the same

I don't think I could support another club with the same commitment or passion

Honestly I think I'd just give up on football and maybe attend the odd lower league game now and then just for the fun of it

I suppose I could glory hunt and jump on the Man City bandwagon, but they'd probably start losing at that point anyway
