G.A.A. 2025.

Spot on, that's why I feel sorry for him. Presumably Dublin had a heavy gym week to bulk up, we we're way way off. Armagh we're exceptional in the first 35 but we're on the ropes for the first 15/20 of the 2nd half and Dublin we're very wasteful unfortunately.

As a side note. The 3/3 rule implementation is absolutely awful. It's a good rule but the implementation has to improve. Maybe a hooter or something because nobody knows what's going on when it's called.
With Armagh missing their midfield I was surprised how much they dominated in the first half. Dublin were always going to have an improved spell and they did rack up a decent score although bad wides as you say.

There was an older Dub took sick before the start of the game and was stretchered out. Hopefully nothing serious.

Congrats to Armagh on the win last night, no complaints (well a few), but best team won on the night. Dublin were second to everything first half yesterday and rightly went in with a spanking via a melt down on the kick outs and looked a very inexperienced team.

We seemed to loose the head and composure a bit with the application of the new rules - to be fair i felt it was a bit of a weird application. We also looked like wed put in a heavy training block in the week and looked very very leggy. But no excuses Armagh were well worthy winners. We were though better second half, but by a distance second best on the night.

Not overly concerned, with a team that young i expect boom and bust performances and im delighted some got that experience last night, up North, with an away crowd baying right on the pitch and blood and thunder in the tackle with no quarter given will bring some of these young lads on no end. Much different game then dropping the shoulder in Croker with 20k Dubs at your back.

A short note on the new rules - they were absolutely chaotically applied last night, no one on the box or in the ground - including the players and management teams seemed to know wtf was going on - im not sure im clearer this morning, the rules can be very poorly applied and they can also have a very poor influence of the game, the last 10 were set up to be a ding dong of a finish instead the ref turned it into a skitter - not good..

We go again next up Galway, congrats to Armagh! ;)

Regarding the new rules, we in the crowd really hadn’t a clue about some of the decisions. I’m talking large amounts of people all talking to try and guess what happened and still can’t make a consensus of it. Club games are going to be a mess.

Be impossible to implement at club, also feel they are every technical for underage as well.

You've a job work trying to teach kids discipline in positions as it is.

Unfortunately the referees will turn into little Hitlers. They have been given too much power. Maybe that's the price for their buy in to the process. Anywhere where it's at the refs discretion is always going to be problematic. Probably nobody will be punished today for the 20 second rule.

Was following the Mayo and Kerry game as well mate and i noticed Mayo were penalised on the 20 second kick out rule as well yesterday. Think the refs were wrote to this week on it.

Its a cumbersome and subjective rule, Even god penalised for 19 seconds on one of his kickouts last night, the crowd can influence it to. You could introduce a shot clock like Rugby, but that really undermines the spirit and seems heavy handed - impossible at club as well.

There is a real skill in getting a good kick long out away successfully, its been a great addition to the game in recent years and made the goal keepers position so much more influential, this rule i think undermines that skill and role.

The reward doesn't meet the infringement in my opinion, maybe a throw ball on the 40 or something, for a 30 second kickout.

Cant see that rule being kept to be honest.
