G.O.T. Fantasy Premier League 23/24

77 all out, 69 really amd below average as took an 8 point hit so a big red arrow from 700k to the millionaire club of of 1.3mill, wholly expected after an 8 point hit.

So the logic of the hit is it was timed and to bring players in for the long term - avoiding hits its always best - but i feel there sometimes there is an occasion where its worth while to take a hit and progress play and even a mini wildcard and its often this time of year.

You can take them knowing that its early enough in the year to make up the lost ground and the players you bring in can reward you over the long term, you can protect your first wildcard and you can invest in teams you want to set up into in the long term - the focus of my hits were mainly to change the structure of my team - bringing in an 8 mill second striker, cut money from midfield and invest in Spurs and Villa - who i think will be the two big break outs in the next 10.

So im well set up now in the front 7, having the players i want invested in i can tweak if necessary, hitting most of the key price points.

Need to look at the defence now, Brightons fixtures turn - so there is a question on Estupinan - maybe Brighton are fixture proof..

Chilwell despite a bright start has tailed off - but hes very explosive.

I have Udogie, but maybe two Spurs is the way to go - though that locks you out of owning both Maddison and Son - if needed.

I might leave the backline for another week.

I do need a new keeper have both Turner and Johnstone at the moment - both are under pressure - i could get Areola, but he has horrific fixtures - the boring move is to Leno who has good ones.

I could take my chances with the keepers and just do Mubmama to Archer and ride the inevitable price rises for starting 4.5 mill striker.

Decisions.

Similar question marks for me for my next transfer. Not sure about Estupinan. Areola and Pickford as GKs at the moment. Also my MF fixtures look good but don't like not having Madders, Foden and Sterling. I'm not convinced about Wissa and can probably find a better option at a lower price.

My bench is also weak as piss but I think I can't address that till I widlcard

Tempted to just give it one more week and roll though

You look well set up mate, like me it’s the back line and keeper but no real boaters have emerged yet and who we have is as. Good as anyone at the mo.

One thing I considered is Salah and freeing up funds, he’s ticking along alright but it’s @ big investment fir all right 2hen yo7 look wha5 Son did last week - then again he’s actually a decent differential and you have to presume most will move to two premiums eventually when budgets get bigger.

Played my wildcard.

Might be early, but I had £4m in the bank and too many big money players not performing. Plus I think you can get an idea of where the value will come this season and where money will be wasted, so, for me, it's counter productive to wait.

For example, I've brought Branthwaite in for tripper, which has saved me £2.5m to spend on the attack. We now know Branthwaite will play every game, whilst Newcastle have struggled at the back and have others taking set pieces.

I've managed to get Salah, Saka, Haalland, Isak and Son in my team. Hoping this see's me rise up the leagues.
