G.O.T. Fantasy Premier League 23/24

I don’t think I’ll get rid of him. I have two red-flagged defenders on my bench so I might just replace one of them. Other option would be to upgrade Archer to someone better with the Haaland money, but I’ll have to see first if that would make it too difficult to get back to Haaland later on.

Have you seen any good candidates to replace him directly?
Not at the moment tbh, I might just go back to 4-4-2 for this week. I might bring Hwang back in, decisions to make...

What are we all thinking on Haaland lads, scant news on his injury though he looked to be training online and i wouldnt be surprised if he was just given a few weeks breather, are we bringing him straight back in or do we stick with Solanke for now - hes been in good form. I think some have spread the cash around and will be waiting until either Son, Salah or both go away in the next couple of week to bring him back in.

Is there are an argument to be made that we would be a tough game for City.
I doubt we’ll hear anything before the deadline as there’s no pressers so it’s a bit risky imo. Hopefully he’ll be on the bench v us.

47 all out here and a dirty red arrow, again I might have disimproved my team with my wild card, I really shouldn’t use them. Clinging onto top 100k at 99k at the moment.

So I actually brought Haaland back in, honestly hadn’t seen Billys post above, so just went for it, my suspicion has been he’s not badly injured but just given a breather and backed that, had two so also flipped Pau for Gabriel.

What would you have done differently given the opportunity?

On reflection mate, I probably shouldn’t have wildcarded at all , my team didn’t need it. Think my biggest mistake was brining in Son, went for the name and trying to get all the big highest scoring players in as opposed to sticking with Bowen who was more then fine and who has actually bettered Son since. Son inevitably led to downgrades elsewhere and my keepers are weaker now. Selling Tsmikas for Pau over the last two weeks was bad as well. I didn’t go with my instinct either -that was telling me to bring in Kudus but bottled that to run with the crowd.

My team is terribly template now so it’s hard to make up ground. I going to have to try and rejig in the new year I think, once the Xmas programme is out of the way.

Overall I’d have been better doing nothing. I suppose the lesson learned is you can’t own everyone and if you try the compromises can undermine your team enough that the player you are brining in, isn’t the value you think. Also trust yourself instead of fear of not having the template, or a certain player.

My take home anyway. ;)

All I can say really is to remember that bygones are bygones in Fantasy. You've recognised your errors, now is the time to rectify them. It's not too late. I mean, there's half the season to go! For example, I've personally had the hauls of Kudus and Solanke in back-to-back weeks and it's given me some confidence that I can still pick the right players at the right time.
