Kilkenny going well so far, expecting a different Limerick in second half and go on to win
Could have easily been a 9 point game and Limerick fortunate to be within three at HT

They have the strong wind in the second half but must stop giving soft frees particularly 60m odd from goal. I can understand preventing goals closer to home but not way out the field. TJ normally devours those

They also need to get closer to the runners when not in possession. KIlkennny's intensity was excellent but they will be annoyed at just a 3 point lead.

All to play for!! An Iomáint ABUUUUU!

What a game! The greatest in the world, and I never played it,as we only played football as lads.

Bluerover voodoo on poor oul KIlkenny as I have never seen so many wides from them especially from TJ. When Deegan broke the side netting and they stretched the lead again I thought it was all over.

I know Limerick had the wind, but what a turnaround iin the last 20 minutes.

Miss BR will be very unhappy but she also follows her Dad's Dubs, so a second bite next Sunday.

Tipp Mrs BR is delighted :) naturally

Now for Rovers and Dundalk!!

They are the best " never say die " team in sport. Have you ever seen a team that constantly come through difficult periods of a game and on a regular basis.
I don't see who will beat them, 5 in a row is easily in their grasp.

We are blessed in Limerick. A team for all seasons. They've won in sun and rain, summer, autumn, and winter, during COVID as well as before and after - and often without some all-time great players (last year we missed the two players who were the standouts in this year's final - and this year we lost the most successful captain in history and the greatest full back in the game). I'll die happy.

Congrats mate well deserved. Hope we take the Kingdom next week

Some team to be fair. Can see them winning even 6 or 7 in a row. Travelled into Limerick city at 9 tonight though and you would have barely thought they won. Most pubs stopped serving just after 11 and most bar one or two all closed up by half 11. Very quiet around

A terrific final and Limerick deserved the win based solely on that 2nd half performance. Kilkenny ran out of steam a bit were brilliant in the 1st half.

As an aside on the championship and the game in general, something has to be done about the 'hand passes'. Far too many getting away with throwing it. Its very difficult for refs when its being moved so quickly I know.

I don't know if any fanbase can claim to "deserve" anything, but we've certainly suffered enough for it - if suffering is something that deserves eventual success. lol Only Waterford and Mayo are more "deserving" now on that metric. We're definitely pinching ourselves, though.

Good luck on Sunday. I am expecting fireworks.

Most of them were on the train...

Beers in the fridge, Sambos made, very little sleep with excitement, heading up to Croker at 11:30.

Jamsie, Stevo, Fitzer, Jack, Fento, Mannion, Deano,, Con Kilkenny, Smally - what year they've given us and this might be the last time we see them all together.

Today is probably our last Dance and how fitting it would be to see Jamsie walk up the steps of the Hogan to become the most decorated footballer of all time.

Up The Dubs.
