Ulster SFC SF Donega6v Armagh from 12.15 pm Sky Sp Mix

Munster SFC Final Tipperary v Cork

From 3.15pm Sky Sp Mix.

Perfect given the terrible weather forecast! Got a 3 mile walk in earlier with the dogs!

Cork motoring well in both codes.

Looking forward to Donegal and Armagh today, id have give Armagh an outside chance, i dont really rate Geezer as a coach/manager though - wonderful player as he was. Best of luck to @Armaghtoffee. Also to @Earwigjoe with the great GAA anarchists taking on Cavan tomorrow, Down are never any respecters of form or predictions!

As the son of a Proud Mullahoran man, I will be shouting for the Breffni RBJs!!

Same here, up with my two eldest girls GAA training in the rain at the moment, feet up after that and telly on.

Breffni is one of my favorite grounds, always one of the best away days (if you can get through Virgina) was gutted Cavan went down to Div 3, but its that type of mad year. They will happily take the Monaghan scalp though and look at that as a good year. Mad to think they could be in the second tier championship if they dont get promoted and dont win Ulster next year.

Rian O’Neill is out I believe and that’s a huge loss for Ard Mhacha. Could really do with getting Murnin back.

Really! Dissapointed to hear that i was looking forward to watching him, makes the task more difficult. Rian doesn't get the hype other forwards do, but pound for pound hes up there with the best young forwards in the country he actually, statistically from an attacking point of view batters a few "bigger names".

Am expecting Armagh to do well here (before that news) no bad teams make it to Div 1.

Rian will go on to be a top tier forward no doubt, hardly surprising given his lineage. Oisin the brother is every bit as good.

I hope I’m wrong about the injury.

I think he is already mate, i have only seen him a handful of times, but he is a top player. Look at the company he is and bettering in this table from last year and when you consider those around him and the numbers of games Armagh had in comparison its actually an amazing return.

Armagh are coming. Be great to have them back in Div 1 next year and will bring them on and develop a lot of the young players. I would have said both Cork and Armagh are a year of having a big say in a championship and a big result against a top team - Cork proved me wrong last week and Armagh might today, though Donegal i think are one of the most rounded and balanced sides left - so be tough - but we can turf the prediction book out the window this year as has been proved already.

Armagh lack 3 defenders from being a serious challenger for Sam. From midfield on they have power and pace but it’s the lack of a discernible defensive plan that lets teams back at us.

Still, it’s easier to find defenders than it is forwards so looking promising alright.

My Tipp wife has corrected me.

Today it is R2 of the SHC Qualifiers Cork v Tipp.

NOT the Munster SFC Final - that is next Sunday 22nd.

Mea Culpa!!
