Kilkenny pace themselves and win by 2.

Galway hit the woodwork a few times.

Tipp v Galway next Sunday.

Limerick v Waterford tomorrow in Munster SHC Final

Laois v Dublin Leinster SFC SF
Meath v Kildare " "

Connacht SF Final
Galway v Mayo

Ulster SF SF
Cavan v Down

If anyone can beat Dublin it’s Donegal. Their size in between the 50 yard lines is a big factor in the success. They are so patient on the ball and have the physicality to hold a team off until the chance opens up.

McBrearty back today and that is some boost.

Definitely in the mix a Chara. I don’t think Dublin will win this year for a few reasons myself. I think the Leinster final will be a sticky affair this year also.

Donegal definitely have all the attributes to go all the way. Sometimes I think they lack the belief, confidence or arrogance in themselves that a Dublin or a Kerry may have in the latter stages. I think they have all tools but might beat themselves. I also think they are a very nice team as well, if that makes sense, I think if the game goes into the trench I’m not sure they have devious ways to get their noses in front and force the margin of a game if it’s in the melting pot. Let’s see though, just my opinion.

Knock out is exciting this year, but I’m missing the back door and S8s myself, Tyrone, Armagh and Kerry still had loads to offer a championship, but it’s what we have this year!

This was the year to go an open draw, a once in a lifetime opportunity to go for it in these difficult times.

For Armagh, still a positive year despite the disappointment of today.

I’m hoping HQ do the sensible thing for the league and stream them on GAAGO. Hate the idea of Dublin/Kerry just up the road and not getting to see it.

I think Eir have the rights to the league a chara. I think what happened in the last two rounds was Eir picked the best fixtures and GAA Go had the rest, TG4 I think cam also show a second choice fixture.

I agree whole heartedly, personally I’d get rid of the the provinces, they make the Championship to easy for the likes of Dublin and Kerry and more difficult for others, it’s a geographical lottery. I’m being totally objective saying that as I’m a massive Dublin supporter!

Don’t have Eir north of the border unfortunately. Perhaps though that may mean it is available in the occupied 6 on GAAGO.

Ulster is the most competitive province and for me it has to stay. It hurts us big time of course but it is a huge prize still.

Half of Div 1 next year are Ulster teams that does testament to the strength of the province, particularly so when both Cavan and Derry could also beat a lot of teams on their day.

It definitely will be a chara outside the 26 counties. If not a VPN works with GAAGo I know lads who have done it. Eir tend show Dublin 95% of the time anyhow so you should be good!

I know how feel about the provinces the Leinster used to be class, a championship in a championship, hasn’t been that way now for 15 years, for me it just skews the integrity of the Championship, due to not being a level playing field based on a geographical lottery.

It’s far easier for Dublin or Kerry to win a championship then a Armagh, Donegal or Tyrone.

Just my opinion. I think another option might be to merge Munster and Leinster, maybe in a tier 1 or tier 2 provincial championship, Div1 & 2 teams in one championship and Div 3 & 4 teams in the other, 4 teams progressing to the S8s, the first two teams in either tier.

Donegal are looking good, felt it was always going to be them against Dublin. The size and speed is unreal, considering McMenamin went off after a minute and McGrath was injured they didn't miss a beat. McBrearty coming back could be huge, some bench with Gallen,J McGhee coming on, McFadden Ferry is out due to the army commitments and McNiallais opted out of panel.
Fancy Galway to beat Mayo tommorrow

Jeepers didn’t see that big of a gap in result coming mate, still won’t do the young lads any harm, next up Div 1.

Donegal look like having a big say in Samual this year.
Didn't see us winning by that much either to be honest, seemed to be well in it for first 20 mins but the burst after the water break finished the game. Totally dismantled the Armagh kickouts.

The provincial championship will be around for a while yet, Ulster teams will never vote for it in congress. Love to see a day when 4 groups of 4 for Sam and others play 2nd tier championship with promotion and relegation. Can't understand how weaker counties expect to progress with the constant batterings.

I hope Dublin bate dem by 60 points da bar stewards. Not a dub just hate Laois

Ha ha you really do, I actually have a soft spot for Laois I had some good friends who played on the successful minor and Seniors teams in the noughties. I reserve the right to change that opinion tomorrow evening though.

Donegal massively impressive and strong panel, ticking loads of boxes.

I quite fancy Galway tomorrow as well. Joyce will go for the throat, they have some really cracking players - Shane Walsh is a wizard. They might miss Comer though.

Always hard to know with Mayo, but impressive against Roscommon, I really fancied Roscommon, some half back line Mayo have.

The conditions tomorrow may be telling, not sure if many have been in Pearse, it’s not far from the sea front in Salthill and the wind howls in, pretty much the coldest place in Ireland to watch a match.

Meath and Kildare also on tomorrow, always worth watching and they always enjoy a cut off each other.
