Just to point out if you purchase any hardy perennials, shrubs or herbaceous perennials, I always immediately take out insurance by propagating of the purchased plant either by cuttings - division if possible - or collect the seed on flowering Perennials when they set seed note the fresher the seed maybe after 10 days dried out in an envelope - sow immediately prick out any amount you need for next year - Joeys insurance plants tip ;)

Inflation is pushing the price of plant higher this year ....... so save money by propagation .... look the name of the plant up & be guided by the plant you have purchased on hardiness plus the best way to propagate it....

Thanks @Joey66
Mine is also a flymo that I've had for about 5 or 6 years.
It's just the drive belt that's snapped so I've ordered a new belt.
(They are £13 from the official flymo shop online, but I found one through drivebeltsolutions.co.uk for £4-25p) ;)
It should be delivered by Wednesday, so the garden will just have to remain like me until then (half cut) lol
Drive belt arrived this morning.
It was a 5 minute job to fit it and now I can finish my lawn. ;) Very happy :D

Bougainville cutting taken root, first one to takeView attachment 167168
Hot climate plant roots easily if on that photo you take a clean razor cut where the off shoot meets the old wood - e.g. about 1.5 to about 2.5 cm in length - you have successfully rooted a Bougainvillea on harder wood which is hit & miss - so well done - The smaller cuttings root much easier place in a smaller softwood cutting with a milky plastic kitchen bag over it with a cut down garden cane to keep the bag of the leaves but keep the humidity around the soft wood cutting to root easily ;)
In two weeks wean the cuttings of the bag by giving them a fine spray

I don’t get what you mean where to cut

On your photo see where the two side shoots have sprung - right where the old wood meets the new wood - dont do it now on your rooted plant but in future as it grows in June more shoots will appear etc do that in future - they will root like weeds place the cuttings down the side of a 4 cm plant pot in an open mix too ..... ;) Home Bargain sell a lovely multi purpose compost better that soil etc

Also, just noticed the top of your plant prune it back to just above the first side shoot ;) - It has to be kept warm at all times Bougainvillea ;) you can place it on the patio in a larger pot in very hot weather, but fetch it back in for the winter - depending on the summer etc if you live in the UK - fantastic flowers on it ....
