Make sure it's not Box blight first - usually durable plants for feed - if it is blight you will have to destroy them as the fungal disease imported from Europe is a killer for Box - - water first & try a high nitrogen lawn liquid feed & hope for the best - look on the underside of the leaves for signs of fungal infection first .....

Hey Joey I own a couple of acres out my back in rural Ireland. I was wondering the best way to kill the foxes and squirrels that trespass?

Coffee grounds and egg shells don’t work on my slugs! @Joey66 do you know a deterrent for wasps? I’ve tried “the waspinator” vinegar, peppermint oil and soap and water but the little buggers are still invading my shed.

Big brown paper bag filled with plastic,hang it in your garden, wasps are territorial and won't nest nearby another one.

I ended up destroying the nest in the end.

Many wasps were harmed in the process.

Save your urine in a large empty milk carton & & in dry weather at night time springs it evenly on your boundery ......the scent may put up a territory barrier to deter them ....foxes dangerous & cunning - grey squirrel just a tree rat tbh but that's nature .....

If it's a grafted Acer or a species it will be getting older
Looking at the pictures you have a spurt of junvinlie leaves leave them this year prune your Acer to shape next Spring you want those attractive juvenile shoots take a third off next Spring to encourage even leaves -prune put crossing branches also make sure you prune to an outward facing shoot.....

Either that or it will fall over any growth on any bus\tree remember 2\3rds of the root base is larger than the top growth......

Not actually true Joseph. Unless defending a nest, they are far less aggressive than wasps, are important pollinators and feed on many species that are garden pests.

They do look pretty fearsome though and I certainly wouldn't be trying to aggravate one.
