Last season was Howards best ever for the blues. If he can keep that form going he'll do for me.

Probably the only way to get his signature. The MLS would more than likely offer him the security of a 3 year deal, so I suppose we either have to match it or move on.3 years a bit too long? Or is that the only way to get him?
he has now been offered a three-year, £60,000-a-week deal at Goodison.
Gallant GarethAlright Gareth, lad.
Had a nice holiday?

In an ideal world it would be a 12 month deal with the option for a second year, but never likely to happen.
A bit of a dilemma perhaps, here? He'd be decent for 2 seasons, and would probably stay, but if he's offered 3 seasons in the USA, would that move the goalposts?MLS wages are nowhere near what we can offer though, so i don't buy that.
A 3 year deal for a 33 year old player is daft. He was on his last legs by the end of the season, imagine what he'll be like in two more, never mind three...
Scorn was poured on this earlier today, I heard. Just a rumour (sadly). Hope it's actually true, personally.Just said on Granada T V he is ready to sign a 3 year deal.

I'd like to keep him, myself.

Been spoilt with those twoYou're comparing him with two of arguably the top three or four goalkeepers to grace the English game in the last 30 years there though!
