He is mate. I did say in another post, that he was my MOTM, but Naitsmiths goals did it for him - justified as well

Credit where credit is due though (Barry's performance)?

I thought he was ruddy brilliant yesterday. Composed and assured in possession. That tackle on Matic and then the pass to release Lukaku was just brilliant.

Thought he was impressive on Saturday, forgetting one wayward pass. His old, old legs got him around the pitch quite well, too.

Gareth Barry continued his run of covering more distance than any of his colleagues in every league game this season.

Much maligned midfielder Gareth Barry won the most tackles and blocks for us, and his endeavour off the ball was instrumental in coordinating pressure in the Toffee engine room. On the ball, his pass through the inside left channel to Lukaku was our most frequent pass combination of the game, and often the trigger for rapid counter attacks

Those stats blow me away...us armchair critics really don't have that much of an empirical clue do we? Having said that, intuitively, I thought he was massive vs Chelsea. We probably need an @davek pie chart (and/or Venn diagram) to describe the qualitative/ quantitative event horizon.
