He could have had a nice career modelling with that profile but glad he chose football instead.
Given the inexperience of a lot of our team think his calmness under pressure is a great asset, he always offers himself as an outball option even when pressed. Doesn't always work out as, particularly against energetic opponents, he can be harried but he'll take that responsibility on his shoulders. Seems to be relishing the captain's armband.
Never truly appreciated him before he played in our shirt, classy professional.
Your last sentence is exactly how I feel about him. When we signed him ON LOAN...I was massively in the 'WTF' corner...
I was proven wrong. He's been an excellent signing.
The vaults are massively open on this fella...the critics from this season seriously need to have a word with themselves.
@Saint Domingo (yes you are still on ignore you massive WUM)
So picking a point up at a good West Ham team isn't a good resultBecause he's turned it on against the league's two worst teams at home? I stand by what I've said about him because I'm not a ridiculous knee jerker like some. Some games he'll be excellent, some games his lack of pace and passing range will be exposed especially as he's next to an equally negative partner. 2 weeks ago for example we passed up two extra points failing to beat a West Ham in a game we could easily have won. Deulofeu torturing the two easiest teams in the league does not change my views on Barry.

So happy he is back to his best. I think last season was a case of him being overplayed by Martinez.
Ahem!! You are just a troll who doesn't like giving Everton any credit. You don't celebrate Everton wins you dissect them and come up with the same conclusion that who we beat were crap and who we didn't beat we should have. Find your positive vibe and you may begin to like Everton again or better still give kenwright a couple of hundred million to help us compete with the richer clubs.
