I feel as though even though toxic masculinity in football is on the decline, having a super star come out would be a brave move and help change peoples perceptions with homophobia.

As far as I am concerned, eople are just people. So long as they do no harm to others nor force their values on others why criticise them? I dislike both the obsession about finding out about someone's sexuality and someone's urge to tell me about their sexuality - although I get the latter if it is to stop simple people gossiping and speculating about the former.
