General Euros chatter

Probably been mentioned before but I see the refs have their names on the back of their shirts this tournament

So Scotland are now officially the worst side in the comp. Just 1 point, the worst goal difference and home before the postcards again.

Suited me as I drew them in the works sweep but we did a prize for whoever had the worst record at the end of the group stages so the jocks have now earned me a few quid. 👍

Surprised to see the Portugeez lose convincingly to Georgia.

Spain look the runaway favourites from everything we’ve seen so far.
Spain's problem is the draw.

While I agree they look the best side, they will possibly have to go through Germany and France to even make the final against England.

Georgia are so ignorant of the niceties and conventions of these things, they might actually given them a game too.

Think it's pretty clear Englang need rice further forward and that means Mainoo or Wharton.

Tripper has arguably been the biggest mistake and England have left the squad without balance on that position. Is there an option?

Further I'd gamble and build that area around Palmer, put him at 10 and get pace and width outside of him, personally I'd go further with that gamble and put Bellingham in that false 9 he plays for Madrid but no chance that happens

Tour starts today.
Wimbledon starts in 48 hours.
Knock outs of the Euro's starts today.

Not enough sets of eyes to take it all in.

England have played 4 games in the tournament now. Every game they’ve been awful. You can’t blame it all on Southgate, although he is a major factor.

If Southgate was manager of Spain, would they be playing like prime fleetwood town the way England are?

I doubt it. Their players would play to their strengths as usual and at least wouldn’t play like fleetwood.

My point is, although southgate is a tragic manager, maybe the England players are hugely overrated aswell. Good players find a way to play well no matter how bad their manager is.

To be fair to Bellingham, he stepped up with a moment of brilliance in the hour of greatest need. But the rest of his performance was laughable.

England have some talent - but it is very inconsistent talent, and a good side - if they ever actually play one - should be able to expose them. The thing is, the way this tournament is skewed, they might have to only play one properly good side - in the final. And then they have a puncher's chance, at least.
