He's starting at right back lads

the funny thing is shelvey said this today about he would play anywhere for liverpool asked. You can bet if he said that here moyes would think, hmmm, would make a decent RB actually and try and turn him into one. to be fair, he made a fairly decent striker out of steve watson

This thread reminds me of the Back Entry Diddlers. (Anyone too young to remember...and that will be most of you...ask yer grandad!)

Ask yourself 2 questions : how old is he and who is our manager.

I think you'll know the answer.

Baxter made his professional début for the club on the opening day of the 2008–09 season coming on as a substitute in a home game against Blackburn Rovers, becoming Everton's youngest ever senior player in the process, aged 16 years and 191 days, beating the record previously held by team-mate James Vaughan and was also previously held by former Everton player Wayne Rooney.

Guess who gave those 3 their debuts lad.

If you wanna clue, the answer isnt Owen Coyle.

Cheers :) All I needed to know.

16 or 17 though? better chance of him playing if he'll break a record :P

Something like that i think yeah. I look forward to him getting 90 seconds at the end of a match one day, and then realising he's gash because he didn't take his chance so got sold to Bury.

It was David Moyes mate, i remember that game well because we had a whole load of injuries and Baxter was only ahead of the tea lady in the queue for a game.

Rooney was the best player of a generation and Vaughan was like 6 years ago.

That David Moyes gave them a debut but that David Moyes won't play Ross Barkley who is older in 2012.

And George Green won't get more than the odd sub appearance for a few mins here and there unless we have a similar injury crisis to the Blackburn game.

And wheres Baxter now lad??

Anyway, look at the quality on the bench that day, I find it hard to believe he only played due to injuries.

Everton: Howard, Neville, Yobo, Lescott, Nuno Valente (Baxter 78), Arteta, Rodwell, Jagielka, Baines, Osman, Yakubu.
Subs Not Used: Turner, Jutkiewicz, Gosling, Agard, Kissock, Wallace.

5/6 defenders and one forward. Christ.
