Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

He did absolutely fine and I was well impressed.

Considering it's a 19-year-old whose never played abroad and doesn't speak the language, is probably nervous as he wants to impress and realises he has a big reputation... brilliant performance. If Kone was awake he'd have gotten on the end of two of his brilliant crosses, plus he took his goal superbly. He'll only get better.

Clear to see from his crossing and shooting he's got fantastic technique. And he's absolutely rapid. Could have a big impact later in the season

Can see him scaring a few fullbacks and thats something we dont have much off in the rest of the squad, goal probably has pushed him ahead of Naismith on the sub order which is a very good thing imo

Made a very good impression, pleasing to see that he's taken things on board in such a short time. He's gone from not closing down or chasing back at all, to working hard off the ball about 50% of the time. If he can get that to 100% he'll be a super little player.

If he doesn't close down or tr ack back at Everton then he won't make it at Barcelona. Barcelona are superb for closing down. Every single player does it.

He's going to be an absolute superstar - shame it won't be at Everton like but we can't win 'em all.

At least we have Ross the Boss.

How very dare anyone to have the temerity to suggest we conform to logic here!!!!!

Seriously, I thought the kid looked decent last night. Did anyone else think that he looked perma-knackered though? He covered a lot of ground, but just looked tired.

I think he put in a good shift, and some of the moves down the wing were great and to be fair he did his share of crossing (which were impressive and we should've scored off a couple off them) while also looking dangerous when his eye was on scoring.

He'll get better and better over the season and hopefully we can have him back next season too, wouldn't mind a little relationship with Barca. Not arsed if all we're doing is developing players we'll never be able to sign, if they can improve us without a fee then why not?

I would LOVE to see him on the right with Mirallas on the left, PLEASE MARTINEZ DO IT AGAINST CARDIFF.

looked tired for sure as the game went on

plus signs willing to take someone on and has an eye for goal

minus signs .....hope he has more tricks than hoping to push it by a player every time and hoping he wins the race

Didn't see the game but from what I've seen of the lad I'm convinced he can offer us a lot. As some poster pointed out, having a fast skillful winger gives the ooposition something to think about. Gives us balance
