In the latest Four Four Two (alright it's not The End but it's a decent read) there is a good interview with Luis Enrique, who will have seen Gerard play more than all of us put together. He says he is the stand out young player on the Barca books, though he does name 3 or 4 others as being promising.
That backing gave me a warm glow because I reckon we'll see him tear the arse out of Chelski if he gets a start.
