Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

I want to see him start more games also. I thought he would start vs Hull to be honest but you have to understand that hes still a kid and learning. I can't see us keeping him for another season, Could see him going to a swansea side who likes to pass and can do it well and fast.

Type of player that offers little defensively. He's a luxury player and you need a bunch of grafters to cover him. Him and Mirallas in the same team would mean the likes of Barry and McCarthy would have to be all over the place.

I think if Kev is out then he will slot in.

We haven't really needed him recently. For me, until he keeps possession better, he's the wildcard we play when all else fails, when we need a goal and have nothing to lose. Great option to have though because he could win games on his own.

anyone else think he's going to start getting a bit annoyed at getting f all game time ? i thought one of the main reasons we got him was because we could offer him regular football.

A little bit, but we have been playing well, so not sure where would start tbh. All sorts of terms around the loan deal that might be a part of it as well.

Yes and no.

Yes in that he's clearly utterly boss.
But no in that I think when we got him we expected him to be Premier ready. Which, and it pains me to say it, he probably isn't.

Sadly.

He will be amazing though. Just hope we get to see it.

the lad will get games.

bobby could have no way thrown him in from the start as its bobbys job/rep at stake too here.

the team had to be kept pretty much the same as to get results hence ossie (big influence in the changing room i bet)

until bobby can get the all the players trust its going to be the same ish faces for performace sake.

A shame we didn't get an extra round or two in the Capital One Cup to play him a bit more, and up until a fortnight ago I was begging for Ossie to be dropped in favour of Deulofeu.

He'll get his chances, and as he showed when he came on against Newcastle, he's one hell of a player. Honoured to have h
im playing for EFC and hopefully if the lad's happy he'll be back next year. (Can't see Barca 1st team wanting him just yet).

I've got this feeling that he is gonna come on and score the winner in the Derby. Its been in my head for about a month now.

He will then go back to Barcelona a complete legend.
