Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

And on that list... every time an English club faces a Spanish club, guess what happened... If anything that only further proves my point that Barca and Real would dominate England.

Madrid aren't even on the list, Barca are the only team who've really competed in the champions league in recent times.

If it's a grade 3 tear, which it could well be considering that he looked in a lot of pain, he could need surgery and it can be a 3 month lay off... hope not (n):(

Grade 1 is two weeks

Plus my little take on it ( the wife's a physio so will ask her when she comes home leathered ) he wasn't at full pelt, looked like he was about to take off, pulled up instantly and went down saving any further damage such as when your in full flight you can't stop instantly. Hopefully 3-4 weeks Max and he's ready to go again.

Yeah its not like he continued running.

Ice. Immobilise. Compression. Elevation.

The kid is tough. Hope hes back soon.

Fingers crossed that it's not too bad. He's an awesome weapon to have in your squad.
All squads have their injury problems, though, so it will be a test of ours for someone else to step up and give Martinez another viable option in games.

Worried about this.

Another issue aside from missing him is if he doesn't play in %50 of our games this season we have to pay a loan fee and wont have first refusal if they decide to send him out again from 12 months

I don't think his appearances have anything to do with a second loan term mate, as far as i know that is completely dependent on Barcelona and what they think his best.

That's it mate. Not arsed he wasn't at his best today, right call by Bobby to lob him in after he tore them a new a hole in the league cup. He's 19, allowed ****e games and I can't wait until he's back in the fold. Quality player, would have been easy to be a **** house coming from Barca labelled the next Messi and end up a complete fanny. He's far exceeded my expectations and no matter what, when he leaves he will leave a better player for playing for Everton Football Club.

A few facts about our Gez

- 19
- plays for Barca
- on 8k a week at his age
- was on 140k a year at the age of 14
- Spanish
- banging this and no, not the dog!!

Martinez isn't going to risk Barca's asset chancing a reasonably quick return. I reckon we can wave this lad bye bye for at least two months...there's a lot of cold weather to come and I don't envisage him stepping onto the pitch again until we get past February.

Martinez is saying that if we are to keep up our form we need 'ferocious competition' for places. That means getting another three in next month to compensate for Kone, Gibson and Deulofeu.

Over to you, Billy Liar.

He looked in pain so more likely to be a tear as opposed to a pull. 4-6 weeks will be the likely timescale imo.

Shame, as he's an impact player who'd have heavily featured over the Christmas period.
