Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Why, is his leg going to fall off whilst over there, or get hamstring aids or something?

Barca have seen enough of him, he's got nothing left to prove with us. Cue several months of 'rehab' followed by a decision that the player will remain in Spain for the rest of the season with no future loans either agreed or proposed.

I think him going home will only be a good thing. He'll get rest see family get really good treatment. He'll come back a lot stronger mentally as well and will be chomping at the bit when he's needed most that final push for Europe.

.....with our record of getting players back from injury I think this can only be a good thing. Plus, if he's going to be out at this time of year it'll be better if he's with his family. All sounds good to me, come back fit, happy and refreshed.

Maybe he has just done what I did for my first couple of working years when I was young. Pull a major sicky before Xmas as it was unthinkable that I had to work right up to Xmas Eve and go back right after xmas day!

He will be back happier and more productive, just like I was. ;)

its a blow not having Gerard over the festive period. Some great energy and confidence about him. Just hope that we do not pick up any more injurys otherwise this good run could come to an abrupt stop as we are lacking depth in the sqaud in a few positions. I wonder what tricks RM has up his sleeves come January.

This is true, we've used loans to cover up our lack of squad/money for years. Ranging in quality from Jo and Straq, to Arteta, Donovan, Pienaar and Fernandez to the mentalness of Drenthe, we have used loans extensively for years and its not done us any harm.

And we have seen the other side of the "loan" strategy......Glen Keeley.....

They are if the strategy is to be in the top 6 - without them we'd be 9th and treading water.

The loans are good players but McCarthy aside the permanent signings have been a waste of time.

We beat chelsea without lukaku, we didnt get torn apart by city without barry - unlike all the other top teams, utd, spurs, arsenal etc, we hammered fulham without lukaku getting on the score sheet and with delefou going off injured and playing poor, honestly mate if you think we'd be between 8 and 11 points down without loans you are clueless

kinda wondering if you will ever post anything 1. positive, 2. constructive, 3. that makes me think you are actually a blue on here

One day you may prove me wrong until then i just laugh at anything you post and wonder wtf your aim is on these forums...

I honestly do not understand this. At all.

Do you think its any co-incidence that Howard is having his best season for us? Its highly likely that this is down to the fact that for the first time since he arrived he's got an able replacement breathing down his neck. Simply, without Robles (A PERMANENT TRANSFER), its highly unlikely that we would be purring over Howards performances. His past 6 or whatever seasons have been run of the mill 6/10, this year he looks unbeatable.

You've covered McCarthy.

How can you possible comment on Alcaraz and Kone? They have been unlucky with injuries. For you to cast them as 'a waste of time' beggars belief to be frank. So unless a player hits the ground running at a new club, in a new style, with new team-mates as well as avoiding injuries then they are a waste of time?

Unbelievable.
