Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Been here for 18months, yourself?

Ajax and Barca have a pretty tight relationship, obviously Cruyff is a big factor in that. Wonder if Martinez is trying to shoulder his way in?

Two and a half years myself and still loving it. Got lucky enough to get a season ticket through a friends family for Barça too. Jobhunting at the moment though and it aint easy.

That story on Deulo is both bad and good if true as I'm sure we all want him another year, but if that cant happen it would be great if say Denis Suarez or Adama came next year and we then have an ongoing relationship with Barça.

I'll happily take adama. Have you seen much of him?

Denis Suarez is massively meh IMO.

Doesnt do much thats amazing to be honest but its more players like him and sergi roberto that I see having more a chance of making it as they already have the basics - consistent passing, tactically aware and disciplined.

Whereas Deulo or Adama or Rafinha show a lot of flash and skill but its harder to tell what level they will end up at as early on they lack the consistency.

Now Roberto I do like, a lot. Reminds me of Xabi Alonso.

Have been to a couple of B games hes played and he was only ok. Fast but no end product. However recently what ive seen on tv he has either taken it up a level or is just in great form. So quick to take the ball, turn his marker and jet off...regularly beating 3 or 4 players.

Hed be an exciting loan signing for sure.

Good spot that. I see him as Xavis long term replacement...or was thinking that but its hard to tell how deep or far forward he will be best off. Needs to believe in himself more like Thiago did and not just defer to the senior players and pass it off simply.

him and Bartra are big favourites of mine and I see them being part of the future spine but Sergi Roberto will need time just as Xavi and Iniesta got. Think he should have gotten more playing time this season but he's played enough.

It's nice to see them all together like that. I think he will want to come for another season, especially if we're in some form of european competition

Hear Lukaku pronounces Kevs name right. Lots of people go on about Deulos name and how the commentators say it, but Kevs name is never ever pronounced right. It should be like Mir-eye-as.

Does my nut in when people pronounce it like "Meireles" or even "Miralles"

There's no 'e' in it ffs

Brilliant video of Mirallas and Deulofeu playing tabletennis on Instagram with Lukaku commentating (Lukaku's Instagram) and Oviedo chilling on the couch at Finch Farm
