Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

502 minutes, 3 starts - 3 goals, 1 assist, goal/assist every 125 minutes

Lukaku - 1756 minutes, 20 starts: 11 goals, 4 assists, goal/assist every 117 minutes

Mirallas - 2042 minutes, 25 starts: 5 goals, 7 assists, goal/assist every 170 minutes

Deulofeu has more successful dribbles per game, less turnovers and dispossessed less

Because he's very, very talented. His problem is consistency (both players you refer to in comparison have exactly the same problem) and his defensive work rate which leaves us positionally exposed at times. Generally, whenever he's been given the chance to start a game, he's done next to nothing in it. He's been far more effective as an impact substitute.

He's not the finished article for Everton, nevermind Barcelona. This is what you're not understanding. He's improving by the month but you can't expect him to be an automatic starter for a top six Premier League side if he isn't producing the goods all round and regularly.

Actually, what you're failing to understand is that I've never made the assertion that he's the finished article...Only that his quality merits more playing time than he's gotten, regardless of the time he was on the shelf with an injury

It's not an attempt to rubbish either Lukaku or Kevin but that when something isn't working, you substitute - that's the point of having depth, whether you are Everton or Barcelona

He's offered little since his injury. Hard to blame him, because it was a serious hamstring and they are hard to recover from. I assume he'll start one of the next two games (probably Fulham), and if he can get back to pre-injury form then we will be well off.

i hope they bring him on, he scores a hat trick, then roberto brings him off again just to wind up @FCBarça

Won't bother me, he's Barcelona property after all...It is, however, amusing how a Toffee fan would rather kill their chances of any future Barcelona loans when their budget requires loanees to challenge for European football by misusing talent

That's not going to happen amigo. Barça love Martinez even if you don't, after all he's actually Catalan...

Getting a bit boring now this. We would all have loved him to do more, and rip teams apart.

But, we will not play him, just because he is in the big world famous Barca accademy. Our results are more important than anything that goes on at Barcelona.

Maybe these raw kids should be playing at smaller clubs, with less at stake.

You having a pop at our manager mate? Seems like a normal thing for a 'Barca fan' to repeatedly do......
