Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

They aren't banned from selling, well at least that is never normally the case. It is usually a ban on incoming transfers.

There's no mention of loaning out being banned.

Plus Barca are appealing the ruling, which knocks everything back for months, meaning they can buy players this summer after all until the hearing is heard.

The upshot will be Barca will now go on a massive spending spree in case the ruling is upheld & they do end up banned from buying in future windows.

Meaning the likelihood of us getting Deulofeu on loan next season may actually have increased.

So Barca appeal, and while the hearing is taking place, they splurge millions of squaddies this summer? Then they are banned for 2 years, but it's okay as they have 362742 new players? Nothing to see here, move on.

Apparently the sanction is unappealable and irrevocable

don't know what's going to happen but given the relationship Martinez has begun building with Barca, this is terrible terrible timing

It is appealable against mate as per the rules of the ban.

Also as loads are saying its terrible news for us, just why exactly is it? I've stated a few times now how it will have zero impact on Barca loaning players OUT and in fact maybe makes it slightly more likely they will loan players out next season which is all that matters for us etc

I think this is bad news for us because now that Barcelona aren't able to bring in world class players, it is less likely that they will have quality players (like Deulofeu) who are surplus to their requirements.

The ban is for one season mate, for example last season they bought a total of one player - Neymar, the ban also applies to them selling players, so in theory the likes of pedro etc won't now be moved on making room for their own youngsters next year, thus making it more likely the will loan the younger less experienced lads out

Most people looking at Barca also realise that their targeted areas this summer would have been keeper and defence anyway, so as i said its a storm in a tea cup and wont effect their loaning out of their young 'usually' creative types
