I think he'll end up on loan at a la liga side
Agreed. Thats the next step for him I think. Cant see him breaking into that barca side right now. No way will he see the minutes he wants. La liga and premier league are different styles altogether. I wouldnt be surprised to see him at the Getafe's of the league.

If he's not going to be in the Barca side, why has he been recalled?

The problem there is that he would learn (or rather further develop) a style of play that suited him, and which he would probably be one of the stars of the team doing, but which would be of zero benefit for him as a Barcelona player.

Can I just say I had nothing to do with the barneys earlier?

The general point Mikey was making about Delofeu keeping out our younger players is admittedly flawed, as in the end we have to be able to put out strong first-team-quality players in matches. If the likes of Kennedy need a few loan spells before they make that step, then that leaves a gap where we can bring in a loan player or two (Atsu, and maybe delboy again).

It's not quite a Catch-22 situation for our younger players, as Barkley and Stones have proven.

My guess would be would be to simply loan him out to a La Liga side. Yes we looked after him whilst he was here but our league is vastly different. If Barcelona are to assess where he is really at in his development so far, what better way to send him to a La Liga side and see how he fairs against the sides he will play each week when playing for Barcelona.

Would love him back. Looking at the proposed lineup for tomorrow, dear lord are we lacking for pace. And Atsu would be left sided, we dont have pretty much any right sided options.

those 2 on either wing would be a mouth-watering proposition
