I was honestly thinking 8mil but tossed on 'future performances' as a way to raise the fee. Honestly, if it were 8mil with a 32mil buy back, would anyone be THAT miffed? He's got the POTENTIAL to be one of the world greats. Whether or not he reaches it is the biggest question obviously.

I agree. If things come together for him on the park he will be scary.
I just believe all this nomad, gypsy-style loaning every year can't be good for him and needs to stop after this decision. And I believe it will. Barcelona will make a decision one way or the other with him.
 
Surely he will be sold next year unless barca see some major improvements this season or else he wont get into the side.

If you compare him to a local winger then who would fit the bill in UK -- Nathan Redmond?

I thimk he would go for 15-20mil thpugh based on potential. Look at markovic at liverpool.

Don't think British wingers/footballers have that skill...and are overpriced ;)

The loan deal is just for the 2014-15 season and the ban would only impact his possible transfer/sale, not return to Barcelona as it impacts registering any new players

I agree quite strongly. He's also going to be far more expensive than he's ever actually going to be worth IMO. He's not that good.

He wasn't without his uses but come on, he wasn't underrated by Evertonians. Loads on here drool over him. He could also become better than any we have or he could become badly Quaresma. We don't know for definite.

So then he wasn't underrated was he? On balance, he was rated about what he is, a raw as hell lad with quite obvious talent as yet unfulfilled. And genuine game changers are not that rare, just the genuine game changers you like that do stepovers and have gel in their hair are less common than a game changing target man.

I don't like the gel to be honest, but the ability to beat a man at pace, yeah, whats more entertaining in football, aside from the goals themselves, if we were willing to pay dough for that atrocity cleverly, then I really hope we keep an eye and the gerry situation

Dont think martinez wants him back TBH, and judging by okeefes comments when he went to sevilla, some of the lads in our team were frustrated with him and fed up.

I would have him back for the right price, needs to improve a lot though, and take his head out his arse a little
