The difference, IMO, is that last season he accepted that he still needed some time to make the jump to Barcelona's first team...This time around, he felt he was ready and I never saw any form of dejection early on at Everton...unlike how he started at Sevilla
Still say he has not been treated well by Barcelona but it is what it is...He played great at times yesterday and at other times he showed he still has to improve on things - the hallmark of any young talent, I suppose...The difference, IMO, is that many cantera players over the past 6 years have been given more 1st team opportunities than Gerard who has been the most promising talent from the club since Messi
He's not a disciplinary problem ala Balotelli etc. but perhaps it's something going on in training that few of us are privy to...He showed some frustrations yesterday too which has to be building up for the young player...Still, Emery & Sevilla is a good spot for him and he links up very well with Denis Suarez...Of course, his future with the club now seems hard to predict

After this season, whatever Barcelona decide on him, he needs stability and a permanent home where the Manager believes in him. He is like a football gypsy at the moment and it must be affecting him emotionally.
More than welcome here with Roberto if RM wants him back.
How will Barca's transfer ban affect him over next summer? I presume that the Sevilla loan is a one year deal and that once it ends that his contract reverts back to the parent club without being classed as a transfer as his contract is still by them.
But what will happen if there is still no room in the Barca team for him? I presume that he won't be able to get a new loan, or even an extension of his Sevilla loan, without it falling foul of the rules. Are Barca banned from selling as well?

Just personal opinion of course but I would like to see deulofeu and potentially atsu on the flamks for us--we sorely lack top wingers other than mirallas.

I really enjoyed watching Deulofeu play. Yes, he could be frustrating as hell (as can Mirallas), but like Kevin, he sure got you on your feet.

I think a couple of seasons working with Roberto would do him wonders. Flair players may take a bit longer but are unique and a joy to watch. Hope things work out for him in Spain. If not, hope he is back at Everton and not another English team.
Can we realistically guess as to what his market value would be? He's basicaly Kev but with a higher ceiling. If he sold right now, what would it be? 12-14mil?

Right now, stretching to get that unless a money bags club paid over the top I would think? On potential would be worth that and much more.
Will definitely keep an eye out for him this season. Wonder if Roberto is as well or has moved on permanently.
