Good points.

A- Because hes been in the squad and has a good relationship it seems with the manager and fans alike there should be no problems adjusting to the country/city and club.

B- Every signing has a risk involved. We can see Markovic £20mil across the park who hasnt adjusted to the league. Others may be the same for us and we dont have cash to burn.

C- Players such as Deulofeu and Januzaj were touted only a season ago as being 'potentially world class'. Now they may have been found out or, could have simply had their development stalled for a season due to their age or other factors--like Barkley.

Their market value will have dropped since a year ago and if Martinez feels that last season was a blip and they will go up a level or two in this and coming seasons then for say £10mil a pop they have enormous upside.

We really do need wide players and alot of them cant adapt to the league, evem Lamela for spurs has been a disaster.

Just because we know a bit about this one doesn't mean we should be "pulllng out all the stops" which sounds like you'd be happy to pay over the odds for him ?

So you're really saying you'd be happy to spend 10 million on him ?
To be fair, I couldn't argue with that. It's not really "pulling out all the stops" though really, it's more of a calculated risk.

Well, if players like Deulofeu are rated at £10-12mil i'd be happy with £12mil for him due to the enormous potential...

We need to keep adding to the core group of stones mccarthy barkley lukaku which martinez has highlighted with players of similar quality in the same age range who can develop and grow to become a team greater than its parts.

If he signs, he's going to make 95% of the fans fume 80% of the time and do ace things the rest of the time. There's then going to be 5% of the fan base that worship everything he does and overlook his lack of respect for the club, manager and fans and his all-too-often anonymous showings, sulking and mouthing off to the press.

I'm unsure which camp I'll be in as of yet. We've been starved of silky skills and ace wing play at everton over the last 12 months and the huge numbers of step-overs he would supply us with could outweigh the considerable negatives.

True. But he'll scare the shiz out of most of clubs in the prem.

And we're not talking McGeady levels of fume because at least Del has talent

I don't think we'll sign him tbf
