Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Well, for me it's quite logical. Mirallas has stated that he could have left in Jan and was forced to stay then didnt get gametime so is clearly unsettled.

Add to that he has become injury prone (although has always been limited to 60mins ish) and Martinez doesnt start him every game.

Somethings up and i think he will be off.

Compare that to Deulofeu, clearly has immense potential but perhaps just needs regular games and, like most players of his type wants to feel appreciated.

For Lennon, i can understand the attraction however, i'd prefer to see an attacking winger on the opposite flank to Deulofeu.

Remember the days of Limpar and Kanchelskis....werent they fun?

Something that I really don't understand is that there are a lot of posters on here, who wouldn't mind for one second if Mirallas was out of the exit doors at Goodison in the summer. Seems like everybody gets over excited about the prospect of getting Deulofeu in though. Atm Mirallas is by far the better and more influential player of the two. Both can be very frustrating to watch, but Mirallas has at least shown on more than one occasion that he can change a match in one flash of brilliance. No doubt Deulofeu's enormous potential far exceeds Mirallas s' quality, but as we live and play in the present, I'd be not to pleased if signing Deulofeu would mean a Mirallas exit. Having both of them would be awesome. However, even then I feel we could do with a Aaron Lennon type of player. Who might not be of the same quality like Deulofeu and Mirallas, but showd far greater consistency and effort in his performances.

you do realise maybe it's because these things may be linked.

Agree with that, just can't see Deulofeu and Lennon being brought in with Mirallas staying. Atm it would be Mirallas>Lennon type winger>Deulofeu for me. Hopefully someone will take McGeady of our hands so that might free up a bit of money to bring both players in.

If that Eddie Howe was a proper blue he would be buying McGeady, Kone and Nasimith off us for 45m.

I don't think people are seeing it like that. Mirallas will not be shown the door to make way for Deulofeu, he will leave because he wants to. If he goes then at least we're getting someone that excites us and not another McGeady like signing.

Good point, but if Gerry comes back, Everton have three of the most talented footballers in Europe under the age of 22. If they all develop to near their peak at the same time....whoa.

all of which are underperforming massively at this current time

Don't see what the excitement is about Gerry, the guy has hasn't been a first team regular starter at any team he has played for. If the rs where linked with this kid we would all be pissing our pants laughing.
