Massive fan but concerned with buying with potential, we struggling to carry Barkley right now, would rather get a player in his peak who can help our young stars

Barca and Madrid live for buy-back options. I don't think it'd be an issue, as it generally means that the original 'bond', as you put it, is lower anyway.

It allows us to sign him for far cheaper which with out a doubt is a pro for the buy back clause but we are a selling club wether we like it or not I just think if it was me we try and pay extra money to remove the clause we can then go and double our money if he even fufilled half his potential.

Yeh I understand your concerns, but like you'd said originally, it's better to get him in (if we do want him). It may be a case of a first option clause, which would probably be more suitable for us.

You're right, although they quote another Spanish journalist but he too has nearly 22K followers, same as that respected Belgian journo Kristoff.

Maybe something in this just have to wait and see.

Yeah it would allow us to sign him if we don't have a lot of cash or even if we do it would enable us to use that cash else where. Imagine if we still got Del and then with the money we saved go and use on Konoplyanka, then you'd get me on board a buy back clause Ahah.

I still would prefer no clause but I don't want to make it sound like the end of the world it's better than not having him.

Would absolutely love to have Geri back. Love him getting the ball and being greedy with it (no sarcasm).
We need someone to run at people with the ball and wanting to attack all the time. He was much loved here in his last spell and he thrived off being loved by the fans. Honestly think he could flourish by coming back.

Hope it's either straight purchase or loan with option to buy.

Unfortunately it's unlikely that a player at his peak in his position will come to us mate. They cost top dollar and without European footy, then it'd be some coup! 'Buying with potential' is where we're at, and it's how we're going to operate for the next few years. I can't be a***d making this a board debate, because I've accepted that that's how it is at the moment. Pretty much every club is a selling club now (even Utd with De Gea)!
