Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Loan to buy think would be the most comfortable bet at a push 8 mil to buy him now. Hes pure potential though and has a bit of an ego about him

as long as there is a set fee in place from the start. don't want him having a worldie and becoming out of our price range.

At around £12m, it's a no brainer for me, as he could go on to be worth three times that. He's one of those players who, if everything clicks into place, could be "phenomenal".

Under Roberto's classification system, everything, and everyone, is "phenomenal"

It'd be comical if that Enrique divvy allowed him here again on loan after what he said last summer...we get a decent season out of him and send him back with an injury saying: "Ta Luis. But he's crocked. Good luck with any sale".

We paid £28m for Lukaku based on potential alone.

I'd happily spend half of that on Deulofeu. There's not many in world football with the raw ability he has, and he'll always be worth a punt at a similar price for another team even if he doesn't work out for us.

Pretty much agree with this.
I'm not Deulofeu's biggest fan, but at ~£12m it'd make a lot of sense.

If it didn't work out and he continued to be frustratingly inconsistent and greedy then he'd still be worth at least 8 to 10 million in today's crazy market.

He was never going to stay with us last Summer, and, back in January it looked like there was no chance of him coming back, but now, I'd say it's a possibility rather than a probability.
