Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

I am not so sure about that. Mirallas has been used through the middle a bit. We are also losing Lennon and Atsu and possibly Mirallas on top. There is room for a winger.
Well I did day if we kept Mirallas and McGeady. Atsu may as well not gave been here. Three wingers is enough with our budget.

Would the player really get much say in a buyback clause situation?

If he's transferring permanently then he will no longer have a contract with Barcelona. So if he ever went back to Barca then he would need to agree a new contract with them. This puts it entirely in his hands.

It's the same with the minimum release clauses, the player gets the final say as they are the ones that have to sign the contract.

Deulofeu for the right wing.

Pienaar will probably stay one year till his contract is up.

McGeady should be sold.

Mirallas i think will put in a transfer request. So i think we will need to bring in 2 more wingers with the money raised from them.

If £4.5mil is true and Cleverley in for free its a tremendous start to the window. I'd like to see this supposed superstar playmaker in next after Deulofeu.

Edit -- i'd guess Silva or similar with the money and one loan.

If Dufus signs(Im sorry, im never gonna attempt to spell his name, I struggled when he was here for 12months so it makes my life easier if I call him Dufus, its bad, I know its bad, but its the way its gonna be, soz abar me) we then have 4 wingers, now im VERY aware that Pienaar is almost done, injury wise, but hopefully he can stay fit, maybe, McGeady appears to be utter rubbish, this could change, maybe, Mirallas is a little unsettled, but numbers wise, we are "ok", you would assume we would operate a 1 in 1 out policy regards that.

I know we had 2 extra wingers last season, but Atsu was a waste of a shirt and we know El Fraudo really loves sticking those central players out wide.

My biggest concern with Lennon is Levy, he pulls Bills pants down every time and while I consider Lennon value at anything up to 7-8m, its a BIG chunk of our kitty for other, more pressing needs.

Would love to see a 4-3-3 with Del and Kev either side of Rom.

Then the PM in between McCarthy and Barkley in the midfield three.

Only problem there is that doesn't allow for Cleverly, who I really can't help but think Bobby will be starting every week.

Centrally i think it will be like this:

DM -- McCarthy / Besic
CM -- Cleverley / Barkley
AM -- New playmaker /Osman

I think Deulofeu RW, Mirallas and McGeady sold and one top LW in and a loan.

I hate to agree with Goat on anything, but if Del is definitely coming to us, I would hope that we would start prioritising a centre half and a playmaker over Lennon. It's depressing that we're so resigned to the fact Howard is staying that we don't even mention buying a GK.

Agreed but we don't have to prioritise Lennon as such. I reckon he'll come, it's just a waiting game. I think he'll come on deadline day personally. At least he won't need a settling in period too.

If/when Deulofeu signs then the next activity I think will be the sale of Mirallas. If the sale of Mirallas pays for the purchase of Del and Lennon, then I think it is a job well done.

I worry about the left hand side of our team if that's true.

Lennon has never been any good at all on the left, Deulofeu has barely played there from what I've seen, Pienaar is injured more often than not and McGeady is McGeady.

We don't really have one viable left-sided player in amongst that lot. Genuinely think if we're going to sell Mirallas that we should be looking at someone else other than Lennon (although I bet we don't). For me it should have been either Deulofeu or Lennon, not both since both seem completely right-sided. If Mirallas goes, I'd rather have seen us going for someone like Konoplyanka or whoever.

I am delighted to be (apparently) getting Deulofeu back and I have little doubt that Martinez will try to get Lennon back too, but I worry that we're going to end up a bit unbalanced in wide areas as a result of what we do this summer.

Nah we'd still need to see someone of a higher caliber come in to replace Kev.

I'd love him to come back, but I can't see how bringing in a 5th wide player would fit with the apparent need to reduce the squad size that Martinez mentioned a while back, now we're out of Europe. We've already added a 5th central midfielder (not including Barkley or Osman) in Cleverley and would still need a good number 10 and a centre back.

If Pienaar or McGeady left, I could see Lennon coming back in like. Perhaps there will be notable outs this summer.

Aaron Lennon, for his good traits, is not a replacement for Mirallas, as you say, would be over the moon to replace McGeady or sadly Pienaar with him.
