Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

It's 3 years with an option for a 4th by all accounts. It'll be shorter because of the two buy-back clauses at the end of the first two seasons. And the buy-back clauses are never big sums mate, that's why they're in there (so the selling club can get them back relatively cheap)!

Plus im sure we can give him another contract after the buy back clauses are out, infact, im sure its been discussed.

Yeh it's best for all parties. As soon as the two years has passed - and if Barca haven't activated the clause - then we'll either keep him on his current deal (which would most likely mean he hasn't set the world alight!) or offer a new one. Easily done (in theory).

It all depends what Spurs are asking for - if its true Deulofeu is coming for £3-4 million, that just makes what they want for Lennon seem even more absurd.
I think if we get Gerry we will let the clock wind down on Lennon who seems very keen to join us
We can get him in Jan for a pienaar to Spurs type of fee

Spot on. I probably rate him higher than most, but even so, there is no downside with that fee. He had a tough time last season but I still think his game can go up levels

I'm of the belief that you grow and mature as person when faced with adversity. You learn a lot more about yourself during the hard times than when the going is easy. If he does come here this summer, I think we'll reap the benefits of his difficult season at Sevilla.
