Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Because either of those 3 come out weeks before a transfer is annouce and announce it?
Usually agents like to mouth off in the hope of a better deal and if it was as cut and dried as it's being made out, clubs sometimes quote "being in talks",only time will tell.

I think we are underestimating both his arrogance and his love for Barca here. He will feel that if Barca want him, he is good enough to play his way into the first team, and will love the opportunity unfortunately. However, I do not see him being clearly better than Pedro within his first 2/3 years on his contract, I do believe we would be safe.

I think the second point has waned a bit. He has rejected a loan move in favour of a permanent transfer. Lets put it this way, if he becomes a first team regular here, the lure of being a substitute at Barca may seem difficult for him to want to go back too. Especially if he continues to progress he may want to continue that and move when he is mid 20's like Fabregas did.

I am also not sure Barca would be so keen to have him back as a substitute. The joy of them is they produce players like Pedro very often. There is currently Tiello coming back from loan at Porto. There's also a couple of young Deulofeu's (Traore's and the lad with the Arab el something name). There are also players like Cuenca who have come through and been moved on. That's 5-6 players in the last 5 years or so. I think Enrique is quite happy to get shut of Deulofeu.
