Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Ones proven in the prem, ones just been picked in the worst eleven in Spain

In fairness though (and I've not seen enough of Del last year to really comment) Luka Modric was voted Spains worst buy of the season after his first year with real so probably not worth worrying too much about these things

A bit of perspective is called for.

If Deulofeu had been as good last season as we hope he will benext season if he signs , then he wouldn't be coming here in the first place.(mental gymnastics I know.)

We are certainly not trying to sign the finished article , but the potential is enormous.
Yes, he was a bit greedy, but he was only nineteen and has a lot to learn.

Has he the skill in his game to play as a creative central midfielder , I think so.
If he signs and signs on a permanent basis then his relationship with the club will be different.
Loan players at a club compared to players signed permanently are a bit like the difference between the chicken and the pig in a bacon and egg sandwich The chicken is involved but the pig is committed.

I missed his greediness this season.

I think he just might not be a player suited for the spanish league. He has pace, is very direct and there is no tiki-taka in his game. His skill set is so much more compatible for the prem. He was the least Barcelona-like player I've ever seen come from Barca.

The first question I would ask is, will he improve the team? Since he will be competing with McGeady for a starting spot, then I would say yes, he is going to improve the team.
The second question is, can we afford him? At the price mentioned, yes we can afford him.

So why are people still not happy?
Because Martinez told us to become more ambitious,
and many so-called Everton fans became more ambitious than him.

They think we could sign world class player.
They think we could get at least a championship within 2-3 seasons.
They think the progress in this transfer window is too slow. (And it is only mid-June! Also, many players are on holiday/International Duty)
They think 28 years old Payet/ Lennon is too old.
They think Del boy is too selfish.
They think Martinez could take us to relegation because his record of Wigan.
They think the fixture of 2015-16 is too tough.

These are what i saw on facebook. Unhappy for everything.

I think you're confusing ambition with delusion.
