FFS, I've been laughing at "slobbering pisspig" to myself for about ten minutes now. Amazing.

I think for the price it was to good a deal to turn down to be honest mate. It's a small stake high return gamble really. The worst we can do is lose him again at the end of the season with a tiny profit, but for that to happen we'll have seen him have a great season and with that the team as a whole will have done well.

I'm not his biggest fan, to many times the same mistakes were made over and over again for me without either acknowledgment from him or care. But he's a few years older now and his dream of staring for Barca is fading so if he wants to be a big player nows the time to start producing. He's got talent and obviously had a great grounding so even if he doesn't fulfill the hype he gets he could still be a very good player and great value for £4m.

Also I don't expect he'll get the cotton wool treatment he got the first time around. The management, senior pros and the likes of Lukaku and Coleman will be less inclined to show deference towards him now he's on a permanent deal, which is something that will help him develope properly in my opinion.

What about yourself Mk? I've stayed away from this thread to much and it grows by the second because of his hype so it's hard to keep.

I agree mate - bit of a no-brainer to me.

I like how he takes responsibility in terms of getting on the ball and looking to be positive - probably to do with his ego more than anything but as most have said, we were far too passive last season.

It doesn't make a massive difference though, bringing him in, unless we can get Pienaar fit or we can bring in a crafty number 10. If we play as we did last season, slowly and negatively at times, then it doesn't matter who we have out-wide - he's going to have some job on trying to beat 2 or 3 players camped on the edge of their own box.

Counter-attacking wise he brings more menace and pace, a la Lennon, but he won't help against the teams who will again come to Goodison, sit in and frustrate us. I like the Cleverley signing because, whilst limited, he does things quickly which is a step in the right direction.

Deulofeu isn't the saviour, but i think we are 2 signings (a CB and a playmaker) away from being a top 7 side again.

Hello @FCBarça you cockmunching jarg wannabe Spaniard.

Do you know how much of a beaut you are? I'm starting a vault with a quote from @Zatara that makes you look a tit. That's how bad things are.

So much about the club of his dreams you cockspanner. Once a blue always a blue eh?

Oh really?

Self praise is no recommendation you yankee doodle Franco whoring bellwipe.

My personal favourite.

And you said it so cooly. You slobbering pisspig.

Both moved to England for not much money like, shitface.

No.

You were right about this mind, he will be supported better than he has been. In front of Goodison Park and not a bunch of kopite type cringey glory hunters pretending they have Spanish roots.

How's them apples?

Now do one.
This is a work of art.

Beautiful.

His Barca B form was good also , 18 goals in 33 games the season before he joined Everton on Loan. The lad has the ability , Lets hope we can get the boy to start showing us more over the next few seasons.
