Welcome Mr Deulofeu,
Thanks for signing on with Everton Football Club for the next part of your Footballing journey.
You have obviously seen the very fickle nature of this game both on the field and behind the scenes and in part take anything you read on this fine forum with a grain of salt. People will spurt out whatever they think without thinking, and this is something we do regularily. You can have an absolute stormer on the field and some people will still moan. Human nature. You'll find this throughout your career. Pay no mind.
We will love you like any new Beau, but the beautiful thing about us, is that we are real. Evertonians are the best supporters of any side bar none. Smart, respectful, and part of a footballing heritage steeped in a rich history at the forefront of many developments down the years. Its what we hold dear in our hearts, and bleed blue from our very souls.
So, with yourself, Tom and Luke signing on for another 5, you'll find yourself quite quickly as the edge of new spear fashioned by our current leader, Mr Martinez. This club can be proud to say that this is the start of your 'proper' life. It is refreshing to see a quality player as yourself, leading with heart and not his wallet. You are an inspiration to a generation of players who'd rather sit on the bench at a rich club than build thier own dynasty at a club that loves you. Good on you.
You have come from the biggest club side on the planet. You've been tossed around somewhat, and in the mixer you have come through the other side. Its seems to me, that you have taken stock of exactly what it is you want to do. You're young, and you want to play football. You want to shine in a team and finally nail that starting spot in a team built around your skills. Lukaku, Barkley, Stones, Coleman, Baines, Jags, McCarthey et al, You look part of a bloody good side, and we've had a few crackers down the years.
You really are in the right place.
We were a side built on graft. We had to do that because we went through a lengthy period of failures, on and off the field. Mr. Moyes instilled the basics back into the team. Mr. Martinez, on the other hand, was tasked with turning that graft into a more complete unit.
You're part of the revolution, and i for one am keen to follow how the new season is shaping up.
The future is Blue, and for the first time in a long time, we can see it too.
I came on this thread to get away from the fume of Stoke bidding for a player we aren't even after and to remind myself how happy we all were once we new Geri was coming back.
Then I saw this and think I will go into the depression thread
