Agree. Like all loan deals, the catch is that if he has a great season, Barca will certainly want him back and if he has a poor season we'll send him back anyway

If he has a great season I think we'll see him have another season here. He won't be ready to get into a front line at Barca when they have Messi, Neymar, Iniesta, Cesc, Sanchez, Tello, another fella I cant think of his name, plays quite a lot though.

The fact that the worlds biggest club trust Martinez, and Everton to develop one of the hottest prospects is fantastic though, could be very good for a potential relationship between the clubs.

Thats not deffo the case.

A great season for us isnt deffo god enough for Barca...but he may develope well enough that they think a second season could be beneficial for the player

Pedro?

If Moyes was still here we wouldn't have this player on loan, Moyes doesn't tend to go for these type of youngsters. He probably would've ended up at Liverpool.

This is deffo a player Moyes wouldn't have got us, Barca wouldn't have allowed him to join under Moyes, the papers have stated it that it Martinez who was the key in getting this kid in.

Roberto Martinez and Gerard Deulofeu have reportedly shared cross words on the touchline during Everton's clash with Valencia in the International Champions Cup.

Spanish midfielder Michel scored the only goal on the game as the Blues lost 1-0 in Miami, three days after losing 2-1 in the semi-final against Real Madrid.

Deulofeu - on loan from Barcelona - started the game, but was replaced by Kevin Mirallas in the 56th minute.

According to ESPN journalist Roger Bennett, the young Spaniard was unhappy with the role Martinez asked him to play.

"Martinez and Deulofeu have spent last 10 mins arguing about his positioning with the Barca starlet ignoring his coach," Bennett posted on Twitter.

Barcelona have agreed to waive the loan fee for Deulofeu should he appear in more than 50% of Everton's games during his loan spell.

That's interesting. Depending on the size of the loan fee, I wonder if the board will be pushing Martinez to play him in most games.

If he stinks the gaff out, but still gets picked most weeks then I think we'll know why.
