Gerard Deulofeu

It's clear the kid has talent and seems to love Everton. As no doubt we all learned as a kid ourselves it's some times necessary to learn tough love.

With this in mind he should placed on the bench for the first game and brought on with very specific instructions on about minute 65 to attack the wing back and get crosses from deep. When the full time whistle blows as soon as he puts on foot in the centre circle then David Unsworth should pelt it from the technical area and restrain Gerard on his front We should then offer up his sumptuous arse to any of the Spurs players departing the field with one condition only, show no mercy.

I think that this spectacle will truly teach Deulofeu the necessity to impose himself on the opposition at all times and to show real hatred for his opponent. I'm confident this would take his game to the next level and deliver a breakthrough season for him.
You sleeping ok mate?.

Del will work hard for koeman I'm sure of it!
I'd like to think so to as Koeman has already apparently sent subtle messages through the press to players that he expects hard work from all.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Deulofeu and think he can be a great player for us, however I just worry that he's mentality not fully committed.

I hope I'm proven wrong or that Koeman can change that otherwise he'll be another talented individual who doesn't fully reach their potential limit.

Barkley is the same...

Big season coming up for him imo. Struggled at Sevilla for whatever reason, but he had a very good first half of the season for us last season. Even on an off day he will create goals, the Goodison derby is a great example... Couldn't trap a bag of sand and their full back had him in is arse pocket, but out of nowhere put in an ace cross which we scored from. But then we hardly saw him from January onwards.

He's got the talent, needs to do it for a whole season

We hardly saw him from About late January/ early February onwards and that coincided with our season going into tailspin and the Rom goal machine slowing right down.

Why he figured so little after Swansea in particular is a mystery which only Bobby can explain.

(Although probably that is the answer in itself......Bobby couldn't organise a defence well enough to make it possible for his most dangerous attacking player to concentrate on attacking and not have to place so much emphasis on having to defend, not Del's strongpoint)

He made three or four gilt edged chances in that Swans game which were spurned and we rarely saw him again after that.

He came in at Wembley and was very instrumental in turning the tide and it was his wicked cross which Smalling deflected into his own net.

He was greatly under used after the New Year.

IMO Gerald Deulefou is the best player we have at Everton and if I were picking the team his name would be the first on the team sheet.

And I would rather Sones or Lukaku left before him.

Forca Del.....;)

He's certainly one of the most talented and he's shown that he's more than capable at influencing a game in our favour using his talent.

And as rightfully mentioned, in the latter stages of the season he was somewhat underused for what reason so couldn't showcase his talent.

Equally though, he can look pretty ineffective and as frequently mentioned is stamina (be that physical or mental) leaves a lot to be desired.

I think he can be a superb player and people shouldn't disregard him already, however personally he does need to prove himself this season.

Hopefully Koeman gives him in equal amounts the impetus and support he needs to progress further, otherwise he'll quickly be shown the door.

Looking forward to him being given some instruction other than 'stand out on the touchline, and when you get the ball, be amazing'.
