or down the centre (as a back up to the back up striker we desperately need, mind)

Maybe mate, I'm not sure he's got everything it takes (yet) to play in the centre all the time. He could certainly drift inside to pose the opposition problems with pace and trickery, but he needs to get stronger on the ball, still a bit lightweight.

I think he will have a good year, but he needs to pick a pass at times instead of being a touch too greedy at times. I think he will pick up a few injuries as he is the type of player defenders will target. Once he's took the mickey out the left back a couple of times, they will go straight through him.

He's much better at that than he used to be

I think Koeman is the sort of manager who'll give him a good verbal kicking if he isn't playing for the team

The big problem is that he dived so much last season that he got a rep with the referees

That might make it harder for him when it comes to challenges flying in

If he was at a Man United or Liverpool, it wouldn't matter, but at Everton those things can count against you as refs are generally less generous when it comes to giving our players the benefit of the doubt

He's a right sided player
He is primarily a right sided midfielder, and he's very dangerous there as we found out last season when he was whipping crosses in for Lukaku to finish off, almost on a weekly basis. That said, I think he could also be very dangerous from the left, and as Koeman has already identified, he could probably be more than useful up front too. That's the great thing about him. Love our Geri.
