True this. It felt like every time he got the ball we lost possession. That chance he had that Lennon set up was probably the best chance we had.
...I really rate this fella but agree that he was poor last night. It was an ideal opportunity for him to stake a claim which makes his performance so disappointing. He was one-on-one with his full back so many times in that first half but rarely took him on the outside to cut crosses back. Also, his body shape when faced with a keeper shows where he's putting the ball, which is ok if you have the ability to finish but predictable if you don't.
His team needed more from him last night.

I've been a big fan. What he can produce on his day makes up for a few weaknesses, but he just doesn't produce it often enough. Can't see him being in Koeman's plans much after January. Same for 4 or 5 others.
He will improve and get more breaks if he works harder. It hasn't seemed to click with him yet tho
Hopefully he has some more good performances off the bench, but at the moment I think Koeman would be justified in not starting him

He's become far too predictable. 99% of the time the defender gets a foot in and nicks the ball away. Oh how I yearn for him to start putting those unstoppable bending crosses in like he was doing start of last season. I wonder what'a wrong with him? He's supposed to be dead tricky and lightning fast, yet I can't remember the last time he skinned a player or played a killer ball. Lennon needs to be given a chance imo, and drop Deulofeu and Barkley. I'd try Bolasie - Mirallas - Lennon, like that, behind Lukaku.

I think people are being harsh. He was the only person who either made a run in behind using his pace or the played through balls (if they weren't to him), one to Funes Mori and one lovely first time on the volley to Barkley. Generally I thought his passing was intelligent and many times opened up space in the center to avoid their press at the sidelines.
His crossing was poor. He beat his man 2 or 3 times but failed to get it over the first man. His shooting was also poor but at least he was shooting. No one else was.
Defensively I thought he worked hard.

When he chased back early in the game last night, he looked absolutely knackered afterwards and was panting like an old dog. Not sure what is wrong with his fitness levels but something does not look right.
