I have said, from the moment I first saw him, that Deulofeu will be absolute world class...perhaps even top of the pile Messi-like good. Still find it hard to comprehend that Everton have him, Spain's under 21 captain FFS!. If Rom and Barkley and del get in sync, Everton could rip this whole league apart.

I was a bit unsure whether or not we were going to get the old GD back after Barca gave him away to us for £4.5m.

Tonight was evidence enough that when he gets up to full speed he will be one the top providers of assists in the PL. His crossing is second to no-one.

He's reminding me more and more of Kanchelskis in his pomp. Just needs to add the goals, which will in time will come.

I have only been this excitable watching McGeady nutmeg himself with too fast footwork really...

if he started most games he'd bee in the running for the top assists in the premier league easily. Unlike the Silvas and Cazorlas though Deulofeu is just lethal with his crosses and drag backs. Had Barkley finished better, or Galloway made something of that ball on the back post you're looking at what could easily have been 4 assists in an away game against a good defense in a game we've not played particularly well in. Performances like this and the Barnsley one show he has undoubtedly increased his end product. Any where he picks the ball up on the right flank he seems to be able to shape a ball to go across the 6 yard line, these balls are virtually indefensible unless you close the cross down and defenders are wary to do that because Del can do them for pace down the line. He could turn out to be an unbelievable buy.

I said earlier in this tread that he is my idea of an Everton player....elegant skilled and incisive.

The league has few if any truly stand out teams.....Van Gaal's functional manure being top says it all. If we can get Deulofeu and Barkley in tandem we can be top 4.

I'd be happy enough with his assists. We have goalscorers all over the park, and if he can keep putting it on a plate for Rom, we'll be alright without a lot of goals from him.

Yes likewise, perhaps I'm expecting a bit much in comparing him to The Kan, but he has the potential to be as good.
