He has came back a better player, his crosses are not just from the byline, but as seen with the two assists, beautiful pearlers from deep. He is brilliant.

Just had a look at his highlight reel from Seville. He could be anything.

Sheedy's precision, Limpar's impish brilliance, ultra confident. Potentially one our our greats, potentially one of the marquee players in our league.

I love ( love ) watching him play. The way our fathers raved about watching Alex Young....nothing to do with stats and all to do with sheer ablity.

Early days but let's hope.

I loved how he flipped at Barkley for missing the chance in the first half - he's demanding the best out of those around him, which we've had too little of in our recent history.

Yes.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. Only the best......sometimes we forget to aspire to that.

love the lid. love how much he cares, and particularly after a spell on the bench elsewhere, seems to get it. he seems to feed off adoration, and a bunch of adoring blue lids screaming his name ought to increase his performance.

further familiarity will breed results with Ross and Rom.

just hope Barca doesn't pull the recall ripcord. Gerry D can do great things with EFC.

I'm always disappointed when he is not on. Like many Evertonians I am a football romantic. We are the School of Science and here is a player with all the ability to open a game. Pure class. Play him Bobby !!! Play him.

This, but I do think that Martinez has his number - the lad is clearly ludicrously talented, but at this stage of development he needs to think that he has to fight for his place every game (as opposed to Sevilla, where everyone was told how boss he was and he struggled a bit, then disappeared).

If that means dropping him the moment he doesn't meet the high standards he (and everyone else) sets himself, then so be it. He has the potential to be the best player we have had for many, many years.

@Matt_Cheetham: Deulofeu surely a must to start the derby now. 1 goal, 4 assists in 291 mins this season - equivalent of just over 3 full games.
Add to that he's had an inexperienced player or McCarthy behind him and his side of the field never looked weaker then the other. It's great to see that he's not only matured as a player but he's also improving as a player. He gives me a funny feeling in my tummy.
