Downing was decent as per. Never gonna be really good tho. He's like Gareth Barry, quite good.

Carrick is a great player. Easily pick of the bunch for me. I still like young Bastian as well, quality player.

Great result. Very good performance. Even when they equalised we looked like we were going to win.

The lads looked hungry for their shirts unlike the lazy gits that normally play. Held possesion well, Carricks passing was fantastic.

Downing for me shined, as did most of the team to be honest. Phillips looked a little lost in the first half, but sublime in the second.

Final note. Lets go and get Lukas Podolsky on the cheap while he is playing reserve team football after having a barny with his coach. Frozen out for almost 18 months and yet still play national football.

when opportunity knocks, we should answer the door.

Once again I am as I always am "proud to be English".

I like him, but he looks a right moody C***, i dnt know if he would fit in tbh and i would imagine he would still have a big hefty price tag, i can see a lot of clubs sniffing round him come Jan, but would love him @ Goodison. We dont need anymore strikers, but the boy can play.

Even prouder to be scouse lid.

FORZA LICHTENSTEIN.

Heard an interview regarding that the other day that I thought was weird (regarding the [Poor language removed]'s pathetic attempt to claim the Liver bird).

This guy was saying scousers don't feel english, they are scouse.

Not sure how true it is for the majority. Seems a bit odd, just wondered if anyone else feels like that and why they do...

I've been all over this country, Wales and Scotland, they all think we're a gang of lazy, robbin', scruffy basstids! most do anyway.

I keep telling me wife to stop buying her clothes from Oxfam. :(

All I can say is that I wish Everton played their football the way England did last night, hardly a hoof ball in sight. What does that tell you about us and Moyes tactics. Reckon Moyes should go to one of Capello's training camps.

He's had them play about 2 good games since he became manager to be honest, nothing special at all.

You can't compare us to England. They have far better players at there disposal and International football is completely different to the Prem. The majority of teams pass and move, the majority of teams pass and move better than England.
