I dislike him greatly, more so because he plays for them but I used to think he was alright then I read him autobiography.
I'd be fuming if I were a red reading it, all that [Poor language removed] about feeling sick that Liverpool had only offered him 75k a week and that. [Poor language removed] mate, you've just lifted the European Cup for them, enjoy the moment.

Anyway, that apart, he's a superb player and one of the best midfielders in the world. This is my endorsing Toccy thing.

Well i just want to second what chicomelt says, my kopite brother used to love him, but upon reading his book thingy he dislikes him a lot.

That is highly debatable. Gerrard is amongst the best players in Europe i agree, but by no means the best. There is a lot of opposition out there.

WHEN he gets away with this assault case, it will prove to me what ive always known. If you play for a sky 4 team and are a vital member of your national team, you can pretty much do what you like.
I dont wish to open up a can of worms, but who is his equal on the English/World stage?
Lampard is madly over rated yet very under rated every time I see him play if that helps.

I knew this question would come. My answer will be has highly debatable because many will argue that they dont play in Gerrards position. Kaka for one is not a forward and in my opinion plays in CM, ok, he may not be a box to box player like Gerrard but i rate the Brazilian over him any day. Andrea Pirlo, Anderson Deco are just two more names to conjour with.
Anderson is utter crap. Kaka is an AM allday long, as is Deco, as you say different kind of players. I mean before all this 3-3-2-4--2-3-2- and such formation it would have been easy to say whos better and who isnt. I just dont think there are many like Gerrard who have the lot. He can tackle, he can pass, he can shoot. He very rarely takes people on. Something which Kaka can clearly do.
