Get Rooney before United

Rooney is going to be a hell of a Manager, we need to strike early and get him before United, I bet he will be united Manager in the Summer if we don’t act now!
Excellent, we’ll have Ralf then. I keep hearing we need to tear everything down, so bring on Ragnarok

Fair play to Rooney, seriously, what a great effort he’s doing at Derby there, giving them some great credibility, in a dismal time for them.

But don’t kid yourself, Derby are literally on a pressure free season. Everyone is resigned to relegation, gave them no chance and subsequently its a free hit for the players and the manager to get jobs elsewhere come June.

Rooney will get a shot somewhere next summer, whether that’s Prem or Champiobship, but ultimately I think he’ll struggle when there’s expectation.

The players who can actually go make a career like Marriott are stepping up now they realise they need to be paid.

Hope they have a good run at staying up, cause I love the modern day fairy tale in football, but let’s be realistic about Rooney’s ability here.

He has them midtable in the absence of the deductions.

If they were midtable instead of being deemed unfairly in the middle of a relegation slog, I doubt anyone would much care about the job he's doing.
There’s more too it though than the points deducion, he seems to united a group of players from a club in complete and utter turnmoil.

Up to now doing absolutely brilliant.

In fairness to Rooney , in his written articles over the past few years he’s always come across as a knowledgable coach with great analytical skills, all I think he currently lacks is managerial experience which will come.
He’s really done a fantastic job at Derby with a bunch of free transfers and Academy products, anybody who thinks “ but he’d only be mid table even without the points deduction “ clearly has no knowledge of the situation he’s been in. Take a look at the Derby fans forum, they’re firstly amazed that he’s actually stayed around and even more pleased with the job he’s doing. It’s rare that you see almost 100% backing for a ,anager.
I think he’ll come back and manage us one day , and by then he’ll have had more managerial experience and Bill and the current boys and gals will be long gone, so he at least has a decent crack at our job.
