Newcastle had finished runners up the season before he joined.
Blackburn were outside the the top six.
Yes he turned down United but Newcastle looked capable of winning the league. He would have thought winning trophies at his boyhood club was possible. Rooney never had that

I feel guilty that my 24 year old daughter is a Blue fanatic while her gloating boyfriend is a bloody rs.

I used to say that following Everton taught life skills such as patience, stoicism and quality. Now it brings nothing but misery.

I now wake up in the middle of the night worrying about the future of this Club. It is really becoming unhealthy.
