Getting old

The small things in life like chilling on the couch cozy watching the footy while the weather outside is wet and windy. Pure Bliss
Yeah, I'm not old by any stretch, but I'm embracing the reduced energy post 50 has brought on.

It's bloody great once you realise there's no rush to get anything done.

Ive decided I do not want to make it past 80.

Spent the last four weeks visiting my 95 year old grandmother in hospital and every evening is the same in her ward. Very old people screaming, crying, panicking, getting angry…it’s wearing me down and I only have to be in this environment for 2 hours a day.

God knows what it must be like for them and also the nurses (god bless them)

Old thread but...

Is it just me or does wiping your arse clean take more paper the older you get ?

I had my appendix out around 30 and that's about when it kicked in for me. Always wondered if it was related.

Also it's very annoying that any time I have to use a public toilet, I need the wet wipes and they don't have any. I've long said I would try and run for President someday and my only goal would be to require wet wipes in every public toilet. I would resign as soon as I got that done.

Don't make plans, do it now while you're healthy
You never know what's around the corner,
Covid messed up all my early retirement plans regarding holidays.
I'm 66 now and been diagnosed with various heart problems, I can't even do little jobs around the house and garden, my quality of life has disappeared.
I just feel a burden on my family
Totally pissed off

Please, you are not, and this line of thought gets very dark very fast. If this feeling is occurring there is help out there and in here. There is always an answer, and no pun intended re the legwork it may take to get through...
