Ghost and Paranormal Activities

Yeah it’s a strange one. As I have never experienced any kind of supernatural activity I guess it’s more about the curiosity of wanting to know whether ghosts exist. I love watching supernatural films and documentaries but there has always been doubt in my mind that it’s all a hoax. I would love it to be true in a weird way. In terms of being afraid of possibly encountering a supernatural being I believe that I have learnt to control my fears quite well and it wouldn’t bother me as long as I don’t have to live with it lol
Before this issue at my mum’s house I also thought it would be sort of cool to deal with such experience as it may actually may give me some proof there is something else out there. Now that my ma and brother have lived with it and have been harassed by it, I want nothing to do with it. I rather live in oblivion lol

Well I can tell you that my mum and brother have been frightened to their core, that's how scary this experience has been for them so they have been desperate and have been willing to spend money to try to get rid off whatever energy has been residing there but after several attempts and after spending much cash on this issue without a resolution then my mom made the decision to sell her house. It just so rubbish that she is going have to sell her home because of a ghost but that's how serious the situation is at her house :(

BTW, if anyone is interested in buying a house in the US full of paranormal activity then here is the old listing lol

Probably just a reflection but noticed in the 13th photo of the house what looks like a face/head halfway up on the left side of the patio door window. When i zoomed in it looks like a reflection of a guy in an old fashion suit next to the face. I could be totally imagining it all though

No TV, the poor ghost is just bored.

Like several others here, I have no firm position on the existence of spirits/ghosts.

I do however tend to lean on the side of they 'probably exist' as I belive you can feel different energies in different places. (I don't mean Park End Negativity) I'm not sure if that energy comes from the Earth itself or spirits of the departed, so far it's pretty hard to offer conclusive proof either way. If it was the earth and it's local geology, that may be easier to explain with different mineral composition etc, the spirit theory is probably more related to faith in the possibility. (though if there are wandering spirits, does that suggest that there is no afterlife, and it's the disgruntled ones mooching around?)

If things 'move' at home I generally put it down to my forgetfulness. I haven't ever seen anything move, or experienced a door/cupboard inexplicably open.

One thing I do agree in is the sensitivity of animals. A sixth sense that we have slowly lost over thousands of years as we have learnt new skills? My cats will occasionally "fluff up" and hiss in a defensive stance whilst looking at an apparently empty space, only to settle down again after a few seconds. One of my dogs (the Rott who hardly ever leaves my side) was following me from my bedroom earlier this summer and I made it a few steps down the stairs ahead of him. As he got to the top of the stairs he let out a startled yelp and retreated back around the corner. I called him and he just managed to peep around the corner at me and started whimpering with genuine fear in his eyes. I went back up the stairs to encourage him, tried to manhandle him a little and he just collapsed to the floor shaking in fear. I went to a small sofa I have on the landing and he joined me there. A few minutes later I went to the stairs, he crept behind, peeped around the corner and skipped on ahead of me. Whatever stopped him last time was no longer there. Can't explain it at all.

As with the existence of a God/Creator, Until we get conclusive proof either way of ghosts/spirits etc it's just easier to keep an open mind. Don't ridicule the believers and don't argue with the disbelievers.

Ps..... If you're worried about it, why don't you bring the cat to your house for the duration? Obvs she'd need to stay indoors incase she wanders off in a new environment but you'd be at ease. (plus it saves schlepping back and forth)

Do you have the sense of an entity or just a source of energy?

When did it worsen? On the appearance of your brother? What was the attitude towards whatever you could feel before things went downhill? Has the nature of it changed or is it a worsening of what was always there?

If you believe in literal ghosts or not, the best advice is to make friends with them as they won't have any reason to disturb you once you've done it.

Was it like this...

The strangest story I know of involving my family happened to my aunt, uncle, and cousin. My uncle is a physicist and works in aerospace, my cousin once graduated followed the same path, both are very focused upon an evidenced-based approach - so very logical. My aunt is a schoolteacher and also level-headed. They live in a big old house with a smaller outbuilding/cottage next to it that was lived in by an older couple - I can't remember the old lady's name but her husband was called George a chap who I had met on a few occasions whilst visiting.

My uncle doesn't talk about the incident, in fact, he has only spoken of it once in my company, but the one time he did it stuck in my mind as he is most certainly not the type to involve himself with idle chatter. Their property is set on the outskirts of a village surrounded by fields and woodland and is a very tranquil spot. The only bother they tend to have is with the occasional rogue rabbit in the vegetable patch or the like. It is an idyllic setting, and this tranquillity was one of the reasons that they had been attracted to the property, aside from its truly stunning vistas.

On the night in question, my uncle was woken by my aunt and the sound of their dog barking aggressively. Aside from my aunt and the dog he also became aware of my cousin screaming "DAD" at the top of his voice! As he explained, it was the middle of the night, and being abruptly roused from his slumber he felt that confusion we can all feel when adjusting from a dream state to reality, and by what was happening. Now fully woken, he quickly got up to go and see what was wrong with my cousin, my aunt looking terrified said to my uncle as he opened their bedroom door that she had heard a woman shouting, that the dog then started barking and then my cousin had started screaming. My uncle went straight to my cousin’s room and, turned the light on and found him still shouting, visibly terrified sat with his knees pulled up to his chest in an upright foetal position, pressed against the headboard. His quilt was on the floor at the end of the bed. My uncle said that my cousin had such a look of fear on his face that it instinctively gave him a terrible sensation of dread and foreboding. My cousin, seeing my uncle lunged at him, grabbing his hand, and attempted to get out of the room, pulling his dad with him (he was about 12 at the time). My uncle was asking him what was wrong but couldn't get any sense out of him, just hysterical sobbing and panic as he carried him out of his bedroom to take him to the safety of his mum. As they stepped onto the landing there, stood in front of him was my aunt with one of my uncles' golf clubs gripped tightly, looking ready to take a shot at his head! Thankfully she hadn't been possessed but was waiting to whack the intruder.

My uncle left my cousin in the bedroom with my aunt, and went downstairs, with the golf club in hand. He found the dog, frothing at the mouth and wide-eyed stood facing a closed door in a manner that suggested that there was somebody or something behind it. Feeling that he might be about to get into a confrontation he praised the dog in an attempt to stiffen their collective courage - he wanted the dogs back up should the worst happen. Looking at the closed door my uncle shouted "I'm coming in" and slowly opened the door. As he turned the handle the dog gave a fearful yelp and bolted in the opposite direction! Now alone, he reached inside the doorway for the light switch as he cautiously stepped into the room.

My uncle, as mentioned, is not one to be carried away by irrational thought but explained that the fear and anxiety that he ran through him that night, as he stepped into what felt like an ominous trap was something he had never felt before nor would ever hope to feel again! The light switch clicked on but for some reason the light in the room flickered on and off in quick succession, giving what he described as a strobe-like effect. Coupled with his fear, this strobe effect was very disorientating and so he did not venture any further into the room as he tried to get his baring’s - but something had caught his eye... On the wall next to his bookcase there was an image, what looked like a large pyramid shape that should not have been there. He described it as looking as if some vandal had painted it without care as the edges of the lines had run, dripping down. It was as he tried to rationalise what this might be that he spotted the outline of a figure sat in a chair across the room. The chair was positioned so as to be almost facing away from where my uncle was stood but slightly to the side. He then realised that the figure in the chair was pointing to the pyramid on the wall! His heart racing, he tried to muster the courage to shout at this intruder and demand that he get out of his house but as he tried to do this he felt a loss of control and his breath hissed out of his mouth with a mind of its own, wheezing the words "systematic review"! It was at this point that the shadowy figure turned to face my uncle, and this was the bit that I feel he truly struggled with. In his words, he described this fiendish figure as having the head and face of what he could only liken to an angry tangerine! He never got beyond this point of the tale as his rational brain simply cannot cope with the illogical nonsense of what was unfolding before his eyes. I have never been back there since hearing this tale. I will admit that I do have a curiosity to step into that room but some deep-rooted, primitive survival instinct will not let go of me.

Without getting all morbid, one of my old mates died young of pancreatic cancer. He fought it until the end, but had made his peace with it and promised his wife, that if there was anyway of him communicating with her once he`d gone, he`d would for her and the kids. That was over ten years ago and unless she`s keeping it to herself, he never has.

Maybe she pissed him off before he died so he's giving her the silent treatment?

Is this not just in a good mood/bad mood, still weather/windy, quiet/loud etc.?

How do you feel these energies?
